Menicon Progent is a solution for deproteinizing and intensive cleaning of RGP lenses.

 

Indications:

• For rigid-gas permeable contact lenses (NOT meant for soft lenses)

Instruction for use

• Use once a week.
• You should wash and rinse your hands well before handling the product.
• Clean your lenses thoroughly with regular cleaning solution (MeniCare Plus or MeniCare Pure). Please them into lens holder caps of the cleaning vial. Ensure each lens is in its appropriate right or left holder. Rinse them with a recommended solution (MeniCare Plus/Pure or saline solution).
• Open a single dose each of Menicon Progent A and B by gently twisting the cap. Hold upright, taking care not to spill any solution as you open it. Pour Menicon Progent A & B into the vial. Do not spill Menicon Progent on your hands or clothes.
• Close the lens holder cap securely on the vial and gently shake it a few times. Menicon Progent treatment starts when Menicon Progent A and B are mixed together.
• Soak the lenses in Menicon Progent for 30 minutes. DO NOT soak longer than that. Lens discoloration may occur but this will not affect the lens quality.
• Remove the lens holder cap, being careful not to spill the solution. Rinse the lenses in the holder thoroughly with a regular solution (MeniCare Plus/Pure or saline solution).
• Clean the lenses again thoroughly with a regular solution (MeniCare Plus/Pure) and rinse them in the holders thoroughly with a recommended solution (MeniCare Plus/Pure or saline solution). The lenses may then be worn or stored in the storage case.
• Dispose of Menicon Progent solution carefully. Rinse the vial and lens holder cap thoroughly with a recommended saline solution and let them dry.

 

Precautions/Notes:

• Do not use with soft contact lenses.
• DO NOT soak longer than 30 minutes. Lens discoloration may occur but this will not affect the lens quality.
• Use once per week.
• Do not apply Menicon Progent to the eyes. In case of misuse, immediately rinse your eyes with water and consult your eyecare practitioner.
• Do not use Menicon Progent A and B solutions separately.
• Use before expiration date. Make sure the seal is not broken before using the product for the first time. Once open, use immediately.
• Do not reuse the product, discard after single use.
• Keep the product out of reach of children.
• Do not absorb or drink.
• Do not mix other fluids except as directed.
• Menicon Progent treatment and storage should be done at room temperature.
• Do not spill Menicon Progent on your clothes, it may bleach them.
• Keep the product tightly closed when not in use and avoid all contact between the dropper and any surface to prevent contamination.
• Stop use and ask a doctor if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours.
• Store at room temperature in cool, dry places. Avoid prolonged exposure to light.
