Comprehensive Eye Exam for adults
Comprehensive Eye Exam for adults
Schedule an in-depth comprehensive eye exam that checks for cataracts, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and screens for glaucoma.
At Kacee, we view comprehensive eye exams as the standard of care. Thus, an eye exam with us consists of the following:
Preliminary Tests:
- Visual Acuity: Measures your ability to see letters and numbers at different distances.
- Depth Perception: Assesses your ability to judge distances in 3D.
- Color Vision: Tests your ability to distinguish different colors.
- Peripheral Vision: Checks your ability to see objects on the sides of your field of view.
- Pupil Reflexes: Evaluates how your pupils react to light.
- Eye Muscle Function: Tests how well your eye muscles work together to move your eyes.
Eye Health Examination:
- Slit-Lamp Examination (Front of eyes): Examines the front of your eye for signs of cataracts and other eye diseases.
- Funduscopic Examination (Back of eyes): Examines the back of your eye, including the retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels.
- Tonometry (Eye Pressure): Measures the pressure inside your eye, which may be elevated in glaucoma.
Refraction:
- Determines your need for corrective lenses (glasses or contacts) by measuring your refractive error (myopia/nearsightedness, hyperopia/farsightedness, presbyopia/"lao hua", astigmatism).
