Stellest® by Essilor®
Stellest® lenses by Essilor® use HALT (Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target) technology to
address myopia in children, combining vision correction with myopia control.
How Stellest™ Lenses Work:
The central zone of the lens provides clear distance vision correction, similar to regular single-vision lenses. The HALT technology consists of a constellation of 1021 invisible aspherical lenslets distributed across the lens surface in 11 rings. These lenslets create a "volume of myopic defocus" in front of the retina. This signal helps slow down the elongation of the eye, which is a key factor in myopia progression.
Benefits for your child:
- Essilor® Stellest® lenses slow myopia growth by 67% on average when worn 12 hours a day, surpassing single vision lenses.
- 9 out of 10 children wearing Essilor® Stellest® lenses showed similar or slower eye growth compared to non-myopic children.
- Stellest® lenses resulted in stable vision for 2 out of 3 children after one year.
Note:
Stellest® lenses are a promising option for myopia control, but it's essential for a consultation to determine if they are suitable for your child. We will assess your child's individual needs and recommend the best course of action for their eye health.
